We are now hiring substitute teachers for the 2010-11 school year. If interested, please call David Manahan at 530-414-5326 or send an email.  You must have your CA substitute license, a current TB card, and undergo a fingerprinting/background check.

Parent Notice Letter

“Annual Parent Notice” detailing your rights and responsibilities within the TTUSD. Please sign and return Form A (pg 14) to your child's teacher by Sept. 10th.

Help Our School

The effort to open our school is a grass-roots effort and we need your help! If you can donate your time, please complete our volunteer form and describe any skills or expertise that you could contribute to our school's opening and operation.

Don't have time? Please see our wish list for items to donate for our classrooms, library, and administrative office.

We are also actively trying to raise money using eScrip and direct donations via PayPal. See the information on the right on how to signup or contribute.

We are on the final countdown to opening the doors of Sierra Expeditionary Learning School and we need your help now more than ever. This is the final push. We need everyone’s help to get our school site ready for students by August 25th. We greatly appreciate anything you can do to help, whether it is joining us at a Family Work Night, donating resources or volunteering your time in other ways.
 
The following are ways you can contribute:
1.     Help us create a natural playscape for our children to play in.
We need…
  • Builders
  • People with trucks to transport woodchips
  • Someone with a small loader/tractor willing to help move things
  • The use of wheel barrows
  • 5 yards of playground grade sand
  • Surplus dimensional lumber and decking material to construct office walls, cubbies and play structure
  • Weed barrier material
 
2.     Help stock our classrooms.
We need…
  • Computers that are in working condition
  • Books to build our library: used/good condition literature, chapter books, picture books
  • Plastic bins and baskets
  • Vacuum cleaners
  • Furniture: shelves, couches and large pillows
  • Rubber Mats

3.     Volunteer your time.
We need…
  • Help organize parent involvement and develop a PTO
  • Help with our fundraising efforts
    • grant writing
    • planning our signature fundraising event 
  • Help develop community connections to provide help with our three main needs: library, computers and expeditions
