Cristina Wooley is a local real estate and land use attorney. She's previously served on the Board of the Family Resource Center of Truckee, a local non-profit organization that serves our community's most vulnerable families, as well as the Board of Sierra Nevada Children's Services and helped to create "Club Amiguitos," a preschool program designed to integrate the youngest members of our community in play, with the goal of life-long understanding, friendship, and tolerance. Cristina is a first-generation American whose life was changed due to the benefits of a great education. She is passionate about providing engaging educational alternatives to all students, and hopes to instill in her own children a life-long love of learning. Cristina received her B.A. in Business Administration from the UC Berkeley Haas School of Business and her J.D. from UC Berkeley's Boalt Hall.
Kim Bradley has lived and worked in Truckee for over 15 years. Her background is in collaboration, community organizing, project development, grant writing, and meeting facilitation. She has worked in various roles with Tahoe Truckee social service and educational organizations, including: Project Coordinator for Education Matters, Director of the Community Collaborative of Tahoe Truckee, TTUSD Coordinator of Community and Youth Development, Tahoe Women's Services Prevention Program Coordinator and TTUSD Adult Education Program. She played a key role in the creation of the KidZone Museum and the North Tahoe and Truckee Family Resource Centers. Currently, Kim works at For Goodness Sake, a non-profit non-denominational spiritual center, as their Community Liaison. She is focused on creating more wellness supports for community organizations, families, and TTUSD high school students. She has a B.S. in Human Development from U.C. Davis.
Kim and her husband, Mike, have two children. They love being a part of the Truckee community and enjoy family cross-country skiing, hiking, and camping adventures.
Michael McGarry serves as Director, Engagements & Prototypes for Transformational Development, for Ascension Health's internal innovation center. He and his team are building the next platforms for healthcare delivery in the United States by taking non-traditional approaches to traditional problems facing healthcare. Michael is responsible for the evaluation of technologies and development of new models focusing on how to meet health-related needs in the future in a way that extends beyond hospitals and clinics. He joined Ascension Health in 2008 with more than 14 years experience in the healthcare industry, developing innovative programs and medical devices from prototype through FDA approval within small start-up organizations and Fortune 500 medical companies.
Prior to joining Ascension Health, Michael worked with Alere Medical, managing the design, development and launch of a custom remote patient monitoring system for patients with chronic conditions such as congestive heart failure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and diabetes. Michael has a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering from Northwestern University and an MBA from Indiana University Kelley School of Business and has several published patents and publications. He and his wife and their two children love taking advantage of the avid outdoor lifestyle that Truckee affords.
Arthur Rader grew up in the mountains outside Denver, Colorado, where he developed an appreciation and love for the outdoors at an early age. He attended Prescott College in Arizona, an institution founded on experiential education, and received a degree in Adventure Education and Human Development.
Upon graduating, Arthur and his soon-to-be-wife, Forrest, moved back to the Colorado Front Range, where he started out as a sales representative for a company that manufactured passenger rail cars. In 2008, Arthur joined Jeppesen, a Boeing Company, as Sales Executive for the Americas. With two little boys, the Raders relocated to Truckee in 2009 and have not regretted it for a minute.
Jenn Skaff has been an elementary classroom teacher for nine years, teaching in kindergarten through 8th grades. Her teaching experiences include three years at a multi-aged school and one year at an international school. She received her undergraduate degree from UCLA in Psychology, and her Master of Arts degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis in the teaching of reading from Pepperdine University. Jenn is also the mother of two boys, and enjoys watching them grow and foster their own unique love of learning.
Erica Stein's experience includes being a Summer Camp Director/CFO and a Registered Nurse. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from California State University, Chico. Currently Erica works as the Director of Walton's Grizzly Lodge Summer Camp. Erica manages the budget, accounts payable and receivable, and payroll for the corporation. In addition, she is an on-site Director, responsible for the safety and well-being of one thousand campers each summer. Erica is also a Registered Nurse. Erica's professional affiliations include serving as a board member for the Western Association of Independent Camps and membership in the KidZone Foundation Guild. Erica and her husband have three children.
Marcy Thompson represents the Parent Teacher Crew of SELS. Marcy grew up in Northern New Jersey, and attended New Hampshire College, graduating in 1983 with a BS in General Management and a minor in Accounting. After living and working in Omaha, she moved to Chicago where she met her husband Bob, at a Cubs game. They married and moved to California, eventually settling in Truckee. They have three children ages 9, 9, and 10, attending SELS. Marcy works part-time at Squaw Valley and has her own consulting company working as a patient advocate for health care. She is on the board of Truckee Little League and the North Tahoe Hebrew Congregation as well as involved in many community organizations.
Jennifer Wilkin is a seasoned marketer with more than twenty years of experience in all aspects of marketing, with a focus in the high tech and real estate industries. As the Marketing Director at East West Properties, Jennifer developed marketing campaigns for the launch of Old Greenwood, Grays Crossing, Village at Northstar and the Ritz-Carlton Tahoe Residences representing 4 billion dollars of investment in the Truckee area. Currently Jennifer is the owner of Spot On Marketing, working with a variety of local and regional businesses.
Jennifer comes from Chicago, Illinois with a business degree from the University of Iowa. She moved to California in 1993. In her spare time, Jennifer enjoys yoga, hiking, snowboarding, and spending time with her amazing children and husband in Truckee.
